Top 10 Marketing Practice to Extract 500% more leads

It's not magic or rocket science, it's a simple practice I am following. I call it The A/B test.

Create 2 ads/offers/blog and just call it A & B with same content or AdCopy, we are just going to play with the title only

In the ad A you can just add the basic title in your original way ex: "Sri Lankan Mangoes" and your content or AdCopy

In the ad B using the same content or AdCopy just change the title to "Buy Top 10 Sri Lankan Mango" or "Sri Lankan Top 10 Mangoes"

This is just a simple idea of my A/B test, as per the marketing study people are always into where title contain some attractive words like "top 10", "best practice", "top 20" & etc.

Some times back I was reading an article published by a data analyzing company and they have tested with ebook title “The Productivity Handbook for Busy Marketers” and change it to “7 Apps That Will Change the Way You Do Marketing.”  the revised version outperformed the original by 776% at generating leads. Not only that, but it resulted in more customers as well.

I also tested & followed the same idea, mixed with my own way, I have tested this with existing content, offers, packages, search ads & display marketing ads and I have seen in all test on average 500% better CTR and good CPA than the original, but still it's business to business it's different. By changing the title to as mentioned in B your CTR may go up immediately but it might not be a good lead or not a lead at all.

When you are trying this A/B test make sure you are collecting all the data to analyze, you can use google analytic or your own script like me :-)

Sorry I had to name this as "Top 10 Marketing Practice to Extract 500% more leads" for a test.

Day by Day Office Transport by Sri Lanka Train

It's not that  we are having fun in train, just trying to forget difficulty of transport & day to day problems in life. The good thing about going to office by train daily  is even its full and pack we meet same people everyday by traveling in same compartment and becoming friends. Short term friend, one day friend or life time friend  however it is we meet different kind of people.

This is a team (Sumith, Ruwan, Namal & Tharindu) who are playing songs and entertaining everyday on this compartment, I have never seen a pax like this in any train who are well prepared with drum & some hand made instruments. Specially the singer (Sumith) who has by by-heart almost all the songs not limited to Sinhala song but also Hindi.

Google will be retiring the maximum cost-per-acquisition (max CPA)

Google Adwords has announced and sent mail to all advertises that the sad news about discontinuing maximum CPA.

Yes Starting July 3rd, 2015, Google will be retiring the maximum cost-per-acquisition (max CPA) setting in Conversion Optimizer. This option will no longer be available when opting campaigns into Conversion Optimizer for automated bidding.

For an advertiser this is one of the best  option to reduce the cost for some campaign, of course this will not work for all the campaigns.

What Google says?
Using max CPA can limit conversion volume by restricting eligibility in certain auctions, and often results in a lower CPA than what advertisers are targeting for actual performance.

Most advertisers instead use target CPA to optimize for conversions. With recent improvements, target CPA is even more effective at hitting performance targets while maximizing conversion volume.

What I Say - this was a good option when I am going on holiday I can just switch to manual to auto and enjoy the holiday and also when I am leaving my previous company I have changed to MAX CPA and still it runs perfectly. The algorithm for MAX CPA was designed perfectly by whomever did that, and it is 100% favoring the advertises and after some years of running MAX CPA Google just realized they are losing some opportunity to make money from MAX CPA and discontinuing this awesome feature.

Anyway RIP MAX CPA - you have saved my ass most of the time.

What happens when you drink this water?

When you consume coconut water you strengthen your immune system and you eliminate the bacteria which cause urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, gum diseases and viruses which cause cold, infection diseases and typhus.

It will not only increase your energy, but it will also increase the production of thyroid gland hormones. This water is also very good for people who suffer from kidney diseases since it reacts as a natural diuretic. It will cleanse the urinary tract and the bladder canals.  It will remove the toxins from the body and ‘’crash’’ the kidney stones.  Coconut water is good for digestion due to the high level of fibber which it contains. If you drink it regularly it will eliminate the gastric acid. You can drink it in big amounts, since it has low levels of fat. You will lose weight, thanks to water’s ability for keeping you sated and meanwhile it lowers the appetite.

If you have acne, oily or dry skin, all you need to do is to soak a cotton wool in the coconut water and apply it to the skin. It will clean and freshen up the skin, and most importantly, it will keep the pores open. If you mix the water with olive oil, you can cleanse your organism. This mixture can remove bowel parasites.

According to experts, you can solve several health problems during pregnancy with the help of coconut water. Drink one cup of coconut water every morning and you will balance the electrolytes whose misbalance can lead to hypertension, also known as high blood pressure.

If you drink alcohol during the night you will probably have headache in the morning. So, the next time when you exaggerate with alcohol, you will remember this ‘’savior’’ if you want to get rid of the headache. Additionally, it will also compensate for the lost fluids and you will overcome the nausea which is often related with hangover.

If you want your skin to be hydrated and radiant during the entire day, one cup of coconut water will be enough. Also, after several exhausting physical activities, you can drink coconut water and you will regain energy. It will refresh you and leave a positive influence on each body part.

Increase of energy, strong immune system, protection from bacteria and infections, weight loss… What more can you wish for?

How to: Google Analytics Custom Variables - Google Analytics Custom Dimensions & Metrics

For a long time I had a problem of data mismatching with my custom recorded data vs Google AdWords data, finally today I have managed to solve it with the help of Google Analytics.

I add some custom variable each request coming from Google AdWords destination URL so I can also record in my database for extra information, such as if it’s from Google, Facebook & etc. I also use a certain keyword then I will save them to users’ cookie for 90 days, so even if the user comes to my site after some time I will still have the information where the user is from. Unfortunately, my cookie does not save some user's computer and when I get the enquiry I have no clue who & where this user came from.

But Google AdWords show all the keywords and conversions but I cannot match AdWords record and my data since it will show only the keyword and country where the user is from. Another factor is that Google AdWords cookie will save on user PC and for the same user my cookie will not save which really frustrates me.

After doing some research and digging (not only me but some of my friends are also having some wired problems and data mismatching), I luckily have found a solution from Google Analytics.

Google Analytics Custom Dimensions & Metrics (Don't search for Custom Variable you will end up in hell)

In Google Analytics Custom Dimensions & Metrics you can send custom data to Google Analytics and you can view them using custom reports.

First you have register your custom dimensions [Link] and then have to add the correct code at your goal conversion page.

Following is the code you will get from Google Analytics as tracking code, I have registered dimension1 (CustomerID) & dimension3 (EmailAddress).

I have just added 2 lines to the default code we are getting from Google Analytics - Line 07 & Line 08.

01. <script>
02. (function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i['GoogleAnalyticsObject']=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
03. (i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
04. m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
05. })(window,document,'script','//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js','ga');
06. ga('create', 'UA-XXXXXXX-1', 'auto');
07. ga('set', 'dimension1', '123456');
08. ga('set', 'dimension3', '[email protected]');
09. ga('send', 'pageview');
10. </script>

I am still new with this but if you have any question how to configure and setup, please do contact me I will try my best to help.
